#006 : The Allyship Guidelines

#BlackLivesMatter x Covid-19 x Economic Turmoil make for a deadly combination.

Unfortunately the common denominator are black and brown people, not excluding the added discrimination of the LGBTQIA+. On 25th May 2020 video documentation went viral highlighting the murder of George Floyd, by police. Resurfacing the systemic enabling of police brutality followed by outrage from the killing of Breonna Taylor by police once again.

With insight from Nine Yamamoto; Artist, Researchers and Activist, we delve into the surprising global allyship of non-black and brown people from around the world echoing #BlackLivesMatter. Scepticism is rife, there is a demand for action not just pacifying words of affirmation and retweets of support. We get a preview into why this uprising will not be forgotten.
